How do I check my balance?
You can check your balance by dialing *#1345#, using the Talkmobile menu on your mobile phone, or by calling 5888 from your Talkmobile phone.
How do I keep my number when I join Talkmobile?
Prepay & Talkmobile World
Transferring your current mobile number to Talkmobile Prepay or World is easy all you need to do is follow the steps detailed below.
- Buy your product in the normal way then ring your current network provider and ask them for a PAC number (Porting Authorisation Code).
- Once you have your PAC code all you need to do is call Customer Services on 5888 and advise them you want to transfer your number from another network.
- We'll then advise you when the transfer will take place. On this date your original network provider will transfer the number to Talkmobile. Your old network SIM will be disconnected and will no longer work. When this happens put your Talkmobile SIM card in your phone and turn it on. You should now be able to start using your phone.
Control
Unfortunately you cannot currently bring your existing number with you when you join Talkmobile Control. We are working on this and hope to have this service available as soon as possible.
Pay Monthly
If you would like to bring your number with you, you can as long as you buy the product in The Carphone Warehouse or through our direct sales team and have your PAC number. You cannot transfer your number if you buy it on-line. To transfer your number you need to follow the simple steps below:
- Don't disconnect your old number! Ask your current network provider for a PAC (Porting Authorisation Code).
- Once you receive your PAC, visit a Carphone Warehouse store or call the direct sales number and tell them you would like buy Talkmobile Pay Monthly and want to transfer your number from your existing network provider. Don't forget to bring you PAC number as they will need this to be able to transfer your number.
- We'll then advise you when the transfer will take place. On this date your original network provider will transfer the number to Talkmobile. Your old network SIM will be disconnected and no longer work. When this happens you can put your Talkmobile SIM card in your phone and turn it on. You should now be able to start using your phone
How do I use the Internet from my mobile phone?
(GPRS/EDGE/3G/UMTS/HSDPA)
All you need to do is to ensure your phone has the proper settings for the Talkmobile network.
Once your settings are installed, you can just launch the web browser on your phone, and your default page will be the Talkmobile portal, which will give you all the best content (news, sports, horoscopes, games, chat, weather, public transport, etc.) plus access to the entire internet. There is also a search box which allows you to look for any type of content you might be interested in.
If you have any problems, you can call Customer Service on 5888 from your phone.
Can I send/receive emails on my mobile?
Some phone models have a built-in email feature, with an easy step-by-step guide to configure it. Please check your phone user guide.
How do I set-up and use my Voicemail?
Get the message even if you can’t take the call.
You can’t always be around to answer the phone. But you can make sure you don’t miss anything important by setting up your Voicemail. It’s easy and free to set up. Just dial 121 on your new mobile and follow the instructions. And because people are more likely to leave you a message when they know they’ve got through to the right number, remember to record your own personal greeting by dialing 121 and then pressing 3.
Whenever you have a new voicemail message, you will be sent a text message. To listen, just dial 121. Then, once you’ve listened to your message, you’ll have the following options:
- Press 1 to return to main menu
- Press 2 to repeat message
- Press 3 to delete message
- Press 4 to go to previous message
- Press 5 to get caller’s number (Press twice to return call)
- Press 6 to go to next message
- Press 7 to save
- Press 8 to get time and date of message
- Press 9 for help
- Press 0 to pause or continue
Picture and video messaging (MMS)?
They say a picture paints a thousand words. With MMS picture and video messaging you get the chance to prove it, because it allows you to send and view them on your mobile.
To enable your phone to receive and send MMS use the Talkmobile menu on your phone or call Customer Services on 5888 (or 0870 071 5888 from a landline), and we’ll send the settings directly to your phone.
Roaming
Leaving the country? Whether you're away for business or off on holiday, our Roaming service to over 200 countries means you needn't be out of touch with you friends and family.
Prepay, World and Control
Roaming is automatically set up for these products, all you need to ensure is that you have enough credit to make calls or texts while you are abroad.
Pay Monthly
This service needs to be activated before you travel. To activate the service simply call Customer Services on 5888 from your Talkmobile phone at least 24 hours before you are planning on travelling and we'll make sure you can stay in touch while you are away. This Service is subject to credit status and may require a deposit
If you want to use your voicemail while abroad don’t forget to dial 121 and set up you PIN. You will need to do this if you want to access your voicemail while travelling.

Premium rate numbers
Prepay, World and Control customers can call premium rate numbers without registering as long as they have enough credit.
If you're a Pay Monthly customer and want to make Premium rate calls from your mobile you'll need to register by calling Customer Services on 5888 from your Talkmobile phone. This service is subject to credit status and may require a deposit.
When can I expect my product to be delivered?
If your order is placed before 3pm Monday to Friday then you should receive your item the next day (all orders are sent via Royal Mail Special Delivery and will require a signature). If you place your order from 3pm Friday to Sunday it should arrive the following Tuesday.
